Airbus A318/319/A320/A321 Type Training Courses

AIRBUS A319/A320/A321 (V2500) COMBINED B1/B2 THEORY

Course Duration:

Theory: 30 Days (With one engine V2500 / cfm56)
Add One Engine: 04 Days
Practical: 10 Days, including 05 days of Aircraft Visit (with one engine v2500 / cfm56)
With Both Engines: 12 Days

This EASA Part 147 approved course is designed for aircraft maintenance engineers to meet the standard of knowledge required to perform the duties of a B1/B2 certifying engineer and to apply for appropriate company approvals for Airbus A320 Combined B1/B2 Theory over 30 days. The course content is to the level defined in the latest EASA PART 66 Regulations.

Course Format

The theory training is delivered by experienced maintenance engineers in a classroom environment in English using modern delivery techniques. An individual copy of the training material is provided in digital form (with an option for a hard copy if required). The standard training program is based on 6 hours of instruction per day with appropriate breaks. This can be extended to include visits to aircraft.

The initial entry standard for Type Training is normally holders of the appropriate Part-66 B1/2 Aircraft Maintenance Licences. It is therefore essential that candidates have a technical background in an aircraft maintenance environment and a working knowledge of the English language.

Evaluation

Theoretical Examinations:
Examinations will be held at intervals throughout each theory course. These will be of the multi-choice type and a non-penalty marking system will be used. A minimum of 75% is required for each examination. A certificate of recognition will be issued at the end of each course to each student who has satisfactorily completed the course and has passed all the examinations/assessments.

Objectives

This course provides:

  • Detailed knowledge of the aircraft’s systems, major components and locations, their operations, functions as well as the appropriate maintenance and troubleshooting methods.

  • A working knowledge of the aircraft’s maintenance manuals and technical documentation.

  • An understanding of common maintenance practices and procedures prescribed in the AMM.

  • The knowledge to perform system monitoring and operational tests IAW the aircraft’s technical documentation.

  • Insight into the common snags experienced during maintenance events and how to prevent them.

Airbus A320 to Airbus A330 Difference Course

Content

This course is prepared for those participants who want to add additional aircraft-type knowledge. It covers all systems differences between the aircraft type series according to the requirements defined in the related documents for Certifying Staff. The participants must demonstrate by knowledge examination a detailed understanding of the listed systems, their operation, and maintenance.

Target Group

EASA Part-66 category B1/B2 or other maintenance staff.

Aircraft Engine

CFM56, GE CF6, PW 4000.

Prerequisites

EASA Part-66 category B1/B2 or equivalent maintenance staff.

Examination

Closed-book examinations will be conducted throughout the course. The minimum passing mark for the exam paper is 75 %. Participants will receive a Part-147 certificate upon successful completion of the course.

EASA PART 66 Eurocopter AS332 (Turbomeca Makila 1A/1A1) B1/B2/C

Eurocopter AS332 (Turbomeca Makila 1A/1A1) B1/B2    THEORETICAL
This course is in compliance with EASA Part-66. The participant will acquire the knowledge necessary to perform and certify maintenance tasks permitted to be carried out as certifying staff category B1/B2. It provides detailed description, operation, component location, removal/installation, adjustments, and troubleshooting procedures to a maintenance manual level.

  • Course Duration: 153h, 26 days

  • Target Group: EASA Part-66 category B1/B2 or other maintenance staff.

  •  Number of Participants: Recommended 10

 

Eurocopter AS332 (Turbomeca Makila (1A/1A1) B1/B2    PRACTICAL
This course is in compliance with EASA Part-66. The participant will acquire the practical experience necessary to perform and certify maintenance tasks permitted to be carried out as certifying staff category B1/B2. It provides detailed systems operation presentation, component location, removal/installation, adjustments, and troubleshooting procedures on an actual aircraft.

  •  Course Duration: 10 days

  • Target Group: EASA Part-66 category B1/B2 or other maintenance staff.

  •  Number of Participants: Recommended 10

Examination 

- Phase examination, closed book, multiple-choice examination type.
- Pass mark per module examination is 75%.
- Practical assessment for the practical training.
